Doulas
All volunteers are important to Journey Home’s success, however the doula is a unique and special volunteer role. Our doulas sit with those at the end of life, facilitate planning, provide compassion, listen, reflect and manage the logistics of the dying process.

Doula work in private homes, retirement and long-term care facilities, hospices, and hospitals.
Journey Home doulas embody our mission to educate, advocate and ensure respect, dignity, and honour at end of life.

Commitment
 • Vulnerable Sector Police Check
 • 2 days in person training
 • 1 to 4 hours client engagement weekly
 • An open heart and mind
