JOURNEY HOME SANCTUARY
A home for empowered living
and dying.
Ontario's first community-based space for end of life education, support and Medical Assistance in Dying, held in nature, in the hands of love and compassion.
WHAT WE ARE BUILDiNG
A home, not a facility.
The Sanctuary is designed to feel like a home in nature, not an institution. Warm rooms for gathering. Quiet corners for reflection.
Outdoor space for the ceremonies and rituals families need, from a lit fire in remembrance to a silent garden walk as we mourn.
Moments to say goodbye
Gardens and grounds that welcome goodbye parties and celebrations, where end of life is embraced rather than hidden or shamed.
Support to Community Providers
Private rooms where MAiD providers and doulas complete their work without anyone feeling or being rushed.
Guidance in Compassion
In a time when confusion is intertwined with exhaustion and grief, find support in your choices through the clarity a doula offers.
Space to be held
A warm home where all persons are welcome to explore planning, options and feel supported in MAiD
Serving Greater Hamilton Area

The Sanctuary will be built within the Greater Hamilton Area, close enough for the families we already serve to reach easily and surrounded by nature.
We are currently seeking a country space to host our services and provisions in nature's beauty.
